What belongs to you

You keep the rights you already hold in recordings, transcripts, corrections, drafts and exports. Voicesake receives only the limited licence needed to process, store and deliver the service.

What we collect

Account details, project setup, participant consent receipts, recordings you choose to make or upload, transcripts, corrections, drafts, exports, entitlement/payment status, privacy-safe service metrics and feedback you choose to send through Support. We ask you not to put private story content in feedback.

Optional product updates

The product-updates checkbox at registration is optional and separate from creating an account. We record that choice only after your email has been verified. You can unsubscribe from product updates at any time.

Recording consent

The moderator must give the notice to everyone present and resolve each participant before substantive recording. The organiser remains responsible for applicable recording law; collecting consent in the product does not guarantee universal legal compliance.

Guest contribution links

An invited contributor may continue without creating an account or providing an email address. A one-person guest invitation is limited to one contributor and one project contribution. A group birthday link is reusable until its organiser-set deadline, but it creates a separate private one-person invitation for each browser that begins a message. The browser keeps a private device token so the guest can resume; the service stores only its one-way hash. Anyone who receives an active contribution link may use it, so organisers should share links carefully and can close them at any time.

Group birthday contributors provide a name so the organiser can manage submissions and misuse. Contributor names are not placed in the shared celebration reading. The organiser must review and approve the final text before creating a scheduled reveal link. Reveal links are read-only, may be revoked and expire on the organiser-selected date.

Retention

Raw recording audio is scheduled for deletion from active storage 30 days after session finalisation unless the project owner deletes it earlier. Project text, transcripts, approved drafts and existing exports remain available read-only after the project pass expires until the owner deletes the project or account. Provider backup deletion windows must be documented before launch.

AI providers and training

After a recording is finished, its private audio may be sent to the configured OpenAI transcription service. The transcript is shown and saved separately. It is sent to the OpenAI Responses API to write a biography only when an authorised user presses Polish; finishing a recording does not automatically generate a biography.

A supported browser may also offer immediate live speech recognition; that browser vendor may process the live speech. Private content is not used for model improvement without a separate, explicit opt-in. Provider retention, regional processing, subprocessors and international transfer terms still require qualified approval before a broad public launch.

Your controls

Listen during retention, export your content, correct it, delete raw audio early, delete a project and request account deletion. Downloaded copies remain outside the platform’s deletion control.
